"Sisu" is the Finnish word for determination. Sisu is key to a caregiver's role in teaching and nurturing their learner.

I've designed this assessment and curriculum package so that caregivers of children with autism can feel empowered to teach their children themselves, with support from a behavior analyst. Behavior analysts can use Sisu Skills to train caregivers to use the techniques of applied behavior analysis (ABA), so that they can in turn teach and positively reinforce self-help skills, communication, play skills, social skills, and more.
